The Monster Men salute the Universal Monsters!

The Classic Universal Monsters are legendary, iconic and the ones that started it all. Among them are the Mount Rushmore of Monsters; Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf Man and the Mummy. Add to that roster legends like the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Invisible Man and the Phantom of the Opera and you have the true pillars of the horror genre.

In this episode of the Monster Men video podcast, the guys pay homage to these gruesome greats. Who is their favorite monster? What are their favorite films? Who did they dress up as for Halloween? They'll also cover the impact that these monsters had on them as young horror fans and the many shapes and forms they took besides movies. After all, the Universal Monsters are everywhere, from the Aura models to Famous Monsters Magazine and other movie monster books.

And it wouldn't be a conversation about the Universal Monsters without discussing Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and Young Frankenstein. Plus, the Monster Men review The Trap Door Maker, a comic book prequel to The Phantom of the Opera.
