In this video we discuss the Microsoft Kinect Sensor and if it can really detect the presence of spirits and ghosts. Since its release in 2010 the gaming peripheral has yielded some interesting accounts of ghostly appearances documented by unsuspecting gamers.
The device uses infrared and other techniques to map a room and search for the human form. This is normally a player. Who uses their body to control the various inputs of the game. This is normally represented by a green stick figure that shows the player how their movements are being mapped and therefore input into the game at any one point in time.
However what happens when the device maps figures that no one else can see in the room, mimicking the player perhaps, or doing something that creepy that provokes a response from the player leading them to believe that something other worldly was happening to them. This happened to many gamers in 2011 so they posted their findings online.
Soon after many Paranormal groups acquired a Kinect device and adapted it for use on investigations to see if they could get similar results. In our evidence featured in this video we saw a figure walk straight through a wall and appear on the other side.
