Weddings off as Old Golf House Hotel shuts and employees made redundant

Administrators pursuing sale of sister hotel Pennine Manor

Refined rooms in a 17th-century hotel with a restaurant, plus a golf pitch and putting green.Weddings have been left in disarray and staff made redundant after a Huddersfield hotel shut down.
All bookings at the Old Golf House Hotel Premier Wedding Venue in Outlane have been cancelled with immediate effect.
The hotel was put into administration last year along with several others across the country including Pennine Manor at Scapegoat Hill.
The action was triggered after a probe was started into the finances of Northern PowerhouseDevelopments and insolvency practitioners Duff & Phelps were appointed interim managers by the High Court.
Yesterday, (Wed), a notice on the hotel's Facebook page told customers the sad news of the closure and blamed the ongoing impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
One female employee posted that all employees at The Old Golf House were made redundant as of Tuesday.
