Ghostly Whispers have completed the first investigation of our Paranormal Pub Crawl @ The Commercial Hotel in Gatton, Queensland. The hotel is believed to have been built in the mid 1800's. A fire in 1926 saw the pub, then called 'The Scariff', destroyed, but was rebuilt the following year.
The staff at The Commercial spoke to the team about a former employee, resident and well loved character known as 'Itchy", who sadly passed away in 2019. They feel that his energy is still very much with them at the pub and even scattered his ashes in the beer garden.
The Ghostly Whispers team would like to thank the owner of The Commercial for giving us permission to investigate. Also we would like to thank the Hotel's manager Connie for guiding us through the premises and sharing some favourite stories of 'Itchy'.
