Richard Freeman is one of Britain's few cryptozoologists, who study undiscovered animals, he is the zoological director of the Centre for Fortean Zoology www.cfz.org.uk

We talk to him about his recent expedition in search of the Thylacine or Tasmanian Wolf, Due to the uncertainty of whether the species is still extant or not, the thylacine is sometimes regarded as a cryptid.

Also known as the Tasmanian Tiger, the last captive thylacine was said to be trapped in the Florentine Valley by Elias Churchill in 1933 and sent to the Hobart Zoo, where it died on 7 September 1936
