The team has been playing for a couple years down at Schulz Ranch and its been good to us. But like any basketball court in Carson City eventually they vandalized and start to suffer from heavy usage. We always liked playing here because not many know about these courts since they sit in a subdivision and are fairly newer. About six months ago I noticed that one of the rims was bent told the team id try to bend it back up because really it hurts our chances at playing a fair full court game. Sadly we showed up for another practice and not only was the rim bent but the top bolts were broken caused by someone probably hanging on it. Sometimes people will hang on them trying to break the hoops on purpose unfortunately then it ruins it for all the people who want to hoop here.

With that being said most of the courts in Carson are missing their hoops, nets and even in some cases the courts are full of potholes. So I have been doing my best to preserve this court for local families and hoopers alike. Carson City does NOT repair any of their courts honestly if it takes reporting that the hoop is hanging by a thread or missing then someone is NOT doing their job for the city because this is the kind of stuff that should always be remedied. Nuts and bolts are very inexpensive to begin with but the fact remains without things for local kids to do it is no wonder why so many are locally getting into trouble!

So the first half hour of the reel will start with me trying to repair the rim itself. I went to Lowe's purchased a few different bolts and nuts to give me a variety of options. Neighbors should at least try to do their part even if the ranger that showed up who asked me to stop meanwhile local cops were driving around waiting to see if I was going to be a problem. The park ranger was sincere and she did take my complaint giving me a card to report the issue. But again I have waited weeks to see something done and nothing was done this is not rocket science its obvious that the hoop was severely bent and was one slam dunk short of being carted on off!

I did not finish the job I had to pound out the broken bolts then lift the hoop up tighten the bottom bolts and nuts which were loose. I noticed that they welded on the bracket wrongly if anything its off by a hair so even though I had the right same size as the hardware in their previously their was misalignment. With that being said I also had smaller bolts with me so after trying to get the official sizes in their and couldn't I went with a more narrow gauge. That is when I got one on in started to tighten it lifting some of the rim on up when the park ranger showed up.

So I never really had gotten to finish it and can only hope the city does more for these local parks here in Carson. You would think as expensive as taxes are some of the highest in the nation here that the courts and parks would not look as bad as they do up here but they do and its because somebody is not doing their job which is why I took it upon myself. Because my team needs a home to practice at and we cant practice when hoops are being stolen or broken end of story!

But as a neighbor I try to do my part someone thanked me driving by you can hear it on film while someone else apparently a Karen called the cops on me so I guess people in this subdivision want to see this court get wasted to shit so that the neighborhood kids instead vandalize peoples cars and slash tires because that is what will happen so thanks Karen! Its obvious in broad daylight if I am on my ladder, service dog with me, shit loads of tools etc that I am their to try to repair the hoop but alas people have to screw that up for all the other folks who enjoy this court and that includes kids with their parents!

Included after me trying to make repairs is our practice from the day before which is really a phenomenal run. We have shot practice, defensive drills and six games. Their is two on two, three on three and four on four games good stuff. We did play full court for a little while but stopped besides the fact the other rim seemed to be giving others a hard time because it was bent. It really makes things hard to play on a such a rim like that and its just not fair to our team. No less this is what top notch team practice looks like and dedication!
