The story follows Rita, a school-going girl who lives near Bay Street, and her family. She used to spend time with a cosmetic surgeon, Andrea, who did black magic for those who came to her clinic. One day, Rita witnessed Andrea doing black magic, and she told her mother, who filed a complaint with the police. Andrea committed suicide by transferring her soul and power to a doll. The doll killed Rita's mother and father, and she had to move to her uncle's city.

Years later, Rita celebrated her 20th birthday and received a gift of a teddy bear, which turned out to be a doll with Andrea's soul. The doll haunted her, and she tried to kill it by throwing it into a campfire, which worked. She later celebrated her 58th birthday with her husband and children.

The story revolves around the consequences of black magic and the supernatural. It shows how greed and desire for power can lead people to do terrible things. The story has a happy ending, with Rita overcoming supernatural forces and living a happy life.
