Victory Ploof (3 years old, October 14th, 1876) (Jay, VT)

Michael Ploof, father of three boys and a girl. Bought a new house and was erecting their home, as the brothers went onto the path near the house gathering moss. Victory followed, picking beechnuts, but at one point, the youngest brother scolded Victory and told her to return home. Assuming she would go home, hence they weren’t too far from the new house. He turned and joined his brothers. By the time the brothers returned home, Victory had never returned. The search started to this day, and Victory had never been found.
