The Sallie House gained fame in the early 1990's when the Pickman's appeared on the paranormal show, "Sightings". It was during this time that Tony Pickman fell victim to violent demonic attacks, and scratches would be caught on camera forming on his body. Since then many paranormal investigators believe that the real source of the hauntings is not of a human spirit but of a demon.
