San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park - Part 1 "Hyde Street Pier"

At one time the Hyde Street Pier houses ferries to transport the people of San Francisco across the bay prior to the construction of the Golden Gate and other bridges. Today the pier is part of the Maritime National Park which has over 100 small vessels, museum and many larger ships such as the Balclutha, Eureka and the Hercules. As we enter the pier you can see various ships as I step up on the deck of the C.A. Thayer. We did do a small investigation and found the vessels to be mildly active.
