Searching for the Wollaton Gnomes

Went on a bit of a "different" mission whilst we were in Nottingham, UK, in September 2023.
I went hunting gnomes.
The Wollaton Gnomes.
That's right, you heard right.
Though, I haven't lost the plot, yet.
There's a story that has intrigued me since my teens.
One evening, in 1979 a group of around six school kids decided to jump the fence and explore the swampy woodlands around the mighty Wollaton Hall that stands tall on a hill estate.
Fun fact, the hall was used as Wayne Manor in the Batman: Dark Knight Rises movie.
The kids suddenly came across a group of little folk. They described them as looking like typical garden gnomes, complete with red hats. They drove little cars that had wheels, yet hovered over the foliage.
The gnomes terrified and chased the children for quite a while. Chasing them out onto a gravel road.
It sounds ridiculous, but all the children stood by their story and gave no one any reason to disbelieve them, as they seemed sincere and unwavering as to what they had encountered.
The story was featured in news media at the time and has been discussed and researched quite a bit since.
Simon Richard Young, Neil Rushton, and my good friend, Kate Ray have all done some amazing work with this case and have written some fantastic books and articles on the subject.
The actual location in the park has been debated thus far though, as no one is quite sure of where on the property it occurred, but it was described as being in 'the swamps'.
Pushing my way through the dense surrounding forest I did find a muddy swamp area. In this area, I had an experience that really stumped me and to be honest, shocked me a little.
I need to do a little research on the area first, but I'll share that experience later in more detail.
I photographed and filmed a lot of the area. It's certainly a place with a weird vibe.
I really felt eyes on me as I wandered around.
