This was one of the only dry patches of land that we could warm up at on the lake which resides on the western side of this giant lake basin. Its very easy to lose feeling in your extremities when your using them to climb in this case my son on the first trek in was experiencing loss of feeling in his toes so during our picnic at the lake we used foot warmers and sun dried our socks which worked problem solved!
