Dating back to 1373 Wood Farm originally had links to the nearby Croxden Abbey as it was used as a Lay Brothers Chapel before becoming a farm.

Many people have reported seeing apparitions and unfamiliar lights in the woods and some have been lucky enough to capture these possible apparitions in photographs these can be viewed on the campsites website.

Spirits said to haunt the woods include a small girl said to have been killed by two Monks who's apparitions have also been spotted as well as many other strange phenomena.
