While we often go looking for spiritual depth in those places where one might think it most likely to be found, it is, in fact, most often stumbled upon accidentally, when we are not looking for it, and in places where we would never think to look for it in the first place. Real depth is often found on the surface of things, and in waters far too many avoid because they mistake them for the shallows. The whole of the universe is "charged with the grandeur of God," even the surface, and it is those who approach the everyday and the mundane as awestruck children who experience it in all its wonder.
