I remember racing out of bed, grabbing my bowl of cereal, and heading straight in front of the television to catch the latest episode of my favorite cartoon. Well, that is how my Saturday mornings usually were and no point in stating the obvious; I am talking about a pre-internet era. Well, for most of us, Saturday morning cartoons have been one of the fondest childhood rituals. Each cartoon back then had a designated time slot and a huge, excited, loyal fan base. Of course, every generation has had its share of cartoons but today, we will be speaking about the most popular slice of animation of Generation X, which conclusively brings us to Space Ghost. This cartoon here happens to be the first superhero animated television series created by animation legend Alex Toth for Hanna-Barbera. Made up of two entirely separate segments – Space Ghost and Dino Boy in the Lost Valley, the series ran on CBS from 1966 till 1968. Fast forward a few years and we have Space Ghost Coast to Coast, more like a reboot of the original series and created by Mike Lazzo for teens and adults.
