A photo shared online reveals one couple’s special moment as seen from a nearby rooftop, with all their guests watching.

Everyone and everything is in place, but something seemed a little off when the picture was reexamined later.

It was then that the photographer zoomed in and discovered something seriously strange in the image.

The figures were dummies, deployed as part of an art installation in the US city of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Inspired by the John Kennedy Toole novel, A Confederacy of Dunces, Dawn Dedaux decorated the Brulatour Mansion and Courtyard.

Depicted in the courtyard was the bed of main character Igantius J Reilly, watched from nearby balconies and windows “by his mentors and nemesis”.

The artist debuted her work in November 2011 and it was kept in place through to May 2012, during which time the wedding photo must have been taken.
