The Occult Unmasked with John Razimus - The Black Arts Richard Cavendish Review [Episode 6]

In this episode John Razimus reviews the book "The Black Arts" by Richard Cavendish. Some topics include Pope Urban VIII having an astrologer/astrological sorcerer Tommaso Campanella on hand and asking him to remove a curse. Unprovable myths about Aleister Crowley being the reincarnation of Eliphas Levi, turning someone into a camel and other such nonsense. The Kabbalah/Cabbalah is briefly mentioned. Their belief in the 72 angels/demons is connected to the Key of Solomon/Lesser Key of Solomon which is seen by historians as a medieval hoax. The book is ridiculous in that the author attempts to shove their opinion down the reader's throat as if it were a fact without backing up these 'facts' with any references or an attempt at evidence. The episode ends on Krishna Venta who the author claims had no belly button. Upon looking for a photo I could not find a single photo online, but this was likely a lie perpetrated by the now extinct cult. All in all the book from 1967 had a lot of information that you could use to try to understand the mindset of the modern occultist, but the amount of biased information stated as a fact muddies the waters of information. This book can easily be found, anyone reading it I recommend they scrutinize the information, take it with a grain of salt and if they want to believe any of it to independently verify it from multiple sources before taking it seriously. All in all it does cover many occult subjects from Astrology to Numerology to Magic Words to the Secret Name of God to the origin of Satan (The book being biased however, the author tends to have a predisposition toward the devil and like most modern occultists either doesn't believe in God, or believes he can become God, which is a very occult/Kabbalah-type belief).
