We visited this place in the mid 1990s after roaming through nearby woodland to find Roman burial mounds... Passing through, seeing the pub and saw it served Real Ale we stopped there for a pint, it was a cozy comfortable, dog friendly Real Ale pub that was a joy to visit

we were told by the then Landlord about some of his experiences while living there........
