In July of 2013, we traveled to Washington, D.C. and one of our stops was Arlington National Cemetery. We have not been to the cemetery together before, and we spent most of the day there. This video is the first in a series of videos that will explain the history of the cemetery and how it came to be a National Cemetery.

Arlington National Cemetery is a United States military cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., in whose 624 acres the dead of the nation's conflicts have been buried, beginning with the Civil War, as well as reinterred dead from earlier wars.
