When it comes to supernatural legends that have crossed into reality, there are few in American history that can tie with The Jersey Devil in age or in fear. The tale of the winged creature has its roots in the early settlement of the US and has persisted through modern day America, with sightings still happening today. The legends origins are filled with curses, blood, and fear. There’s also ties to major historical figures and rivalries that could be at the heart of the legend. But could the creature really be soaring in the dark of the barrens? We’ll try to raise the devil on this episode of Mytheries.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Mytheries: Showcase various myths and mysteries from around the world and shines the light on incidents that have rocked history and can still not be explained. Each episode will be about a creature/myth/or in some cases people that are connected to it. To this day the creepiest thing about vampires is the fact that basically every culture in the world has a vampire myth but they never communicated to each other...so how did they know about them too? This is the place where Myth and Mystery combine.
