This was our lowest attendance on a Sunday in awhile it was just little James and I. But hey its all good even if nobody shows we got to keep the Phantoms machine going! Practice takes hard work and discipline which is why I myself never miss it because I know during a huge game ill be able to step up big when its needed. So small practice or big we always have to try to be here even if its just to shoot.

Little James and I played a couple hoopers I have actually balled with a few times previously. We played the first four games against these gentlemen the first two they won. They only one by two by a basket each time and its only because we missed a couple crucial shots. Besides the fact that we did not even really warm up we just arrived and jumped right on into it.

Then we played one on one for five games just small scrimmages. My only loss to little James came from trying to save it from going out of bounds and ended up turning it over. But I was on fire when it came to two point shots although I had a few three pointers. I generally am a three point shooter but if I feel as if I am a bit cold at the top of the key I will switch into a more offensive stance which as a team all my players must be versatile shooters.

No less the games were pretty thrilling for one on one although James knee was hurting him and I was feeling pretty sore myself. So I think it just came down to whoever was willing to run a little more and make it. In this case nearly every two pointer I made went in and I was uber consistent. Which is something we as a team have to be especially in the league.

Since it was quiet down at the MAC I tried to use the time to coach something I do not have as much time to do when the entire team is there or the place gets to busy. So if you want to get some pointers from out of my playbook about versatility, shot consistency and a few other things then you will find this reel to be invaluable. While I might share what our team does or does not do I also do these reels to help prep our younger generation on the court so maybe you will find some of my coaching to be helpful.

But no less some really good shots in this game it took me a few games to warm up but I did a blind shot and made it behind my back. But the real magic was in the two pointer which gave me some faerytale endings I needed pushing me past the eleven point finish line! I made just about every type of shot including a one armed throw from the sidelines during shot practice. We need this kind of thing coming from me and every player on the team if were going to take 1st in this years league up in Carson City Northern Nevada!

I have nothing but respect for Little James on and off the court he showed when others did not. One on one is allot of work its all wide open beyond the key and within where one mistake like a missed shot or having a lack of another partner to pass too ups the ante!
