My name is KD Stafford and my wife’s name is Katy. We’ve been married for 18 years this November and we have always shared a love for the paranormal and all things that are weird. We started investigating officially in 2006 when I actually started recording for EVPs at the warehouse I worked at because it was rumored to be haunted by the owners dad who had died there of a heart attack. In 2008 we moved to Germany and that’s when I began investigating every castle, old historic building, or ghost story that I could dig up. I was medically retired from the Army due to some injuries I sustained to my back after our vehicle was hit by an IED in Iraq. Once I finally got back to our new home in Kansas City, that’s when the paranormal tech work started. I started out trying to build a better ghost box and then it went to emf detectors and then I remembered an article that I had read as a kid about the God Helmet built by neuroscientist Michael Persinger and an engineer named Stanley Koren. I remembered that they had claimed to be successful in reproducing the “God Experience” in a laboratory. I revisited the story and devoured all the information I could regarding their work and how the helmet worked. I decided that with my knowledge of micro controllers, and electronics that I could probably reproduce this device. I reinvented the device using my own ideas but still sticking to Dr Persingers original theory. Then I decided to take a concept discovered in a neuroscience experiment where they were able to sync people’s brains to a desired meditative state using lights which flashed at the same frequencies that the brain operates at. I added this to the helmet and by using the LED brain interface combined with the complex rotating magnetic field created inside the wearers brain by the EM coils, I have been able to produce paranormal experiences in the majority of test subjects including myself. I recently added four more coils which are situated over the frontal lobe. Since I added these the experiments have become quite interesting and there appears to be more potential paranormal applications such as remote viewing and temporarily enhancing precognitive and clairvoyant abilities as well. I have now began building more helmets and selling them at an extremely modest price to other serious paranormal researchers. I spend way more money than I make but the data is important and I feel that this may be a valuable new tool for paranormal researchers and their work. The helmets I have built so far are made from costume helmets and though they are sufficient to mount all the hardware on, I want something made specifically to House the electronics I need to attach in order to maintain uniformity in future builds. That is why I am currently sculpting a model helmet that I will use as a mold to make my own plastic helmets using thermal vacuum forming and 3D printed parts.
