Monday night at 8 pm EST on "Dead Air" we are joined again by author, adventurer and cryptid specialist Ronald Murphy.

Ron has been interested in the paranormal from a very young age living in the paranormally-active Chestnut Ridge area of Western Pennsylvania. After studying literature at the University of Pittsburgh, he was able to begin to discern the archetype behind some of the greatest cryptid mysteries.

His first successful book was on the subject of his own paranormal research was entitled Unexplained World of the Chestnut Ridge: A Hike Through Western Pennsylvania's Goblin Universe, and he has appeared on Coast to Coast AM and Dave Scott's Spaced Out Radio. This was followed by his best-selling and award-winning historical survey of mermaid mythology from around the world, called On Mermaids: An Historical Study. His next book was On Dogman: Tracking the Werewolf through History. That was followed by On Wildman: Tracking Bigfoot through History. He went on to author On Ghosts: An Historical Survey, On Vampires and On Aquatic Monsters of the Great Lakes. Followed by On Faeries, where the foreword was written by Rosemary Ellen Guiley, the last she would write before her untimely passing. The last book in the series, On Witches: A Cursory Study, was released in April of 2020.

He has been featured in two seasons of Red Earth Uncovered, a Canadian series that began airing in 2020, and Travel Channel's True Tales of Terror, first aired Christmas Day, 2019.
