Its been a long time since we had a team practice at Schulz Ranch but certainly a beautiful day to work on a few things. We could not practice at the MAC they were redoing their floors. The problem is that this area gets quite a bit of winds most evenings in this case we had some monsoon moisture clouds coming in from over the sierras carried by some high winds. Which really makes it hard to shoot and if you do you have to account for it otherwise your shot is dust.

So a small practice video did not stay to long since the team could not make it and when I arrived the gust were beyond the scope of what I am use to shooting in. With that being said ill show you a little about how to shoot in the wind because lets face it most of you probably play outdoors anyhow.

Mainly some layups a few threes although I should have used my special ball which is heavier and can cut through wind I did okay. Plenty of misses sure its natural in these conditions you can hear the winds whipping as a matter in fact I had to secure my tripod to the fence because when I first arrived it blew over.

The only thing I could do is leave the wind at my back and work through it with a touch of humorous banter. No less I tried to make some good shots and make use of the hour I had to put this together for the team along with our spectators. I still was having serious issues with a swollen knee so this was just a mild practice to shoot some, run a little and get onto the court. GO PHANTOMS!

At the end of the video you will see some healthy eats even though I practiced a short time I put in quite a bit of steps running. Its all I really did was rush to the net and do layups because it was just to windy to shoot. All the ball has to do is get knocked off a couple degrees and its not going in. If you can calculate that which I did towards the end of the practice you can start to make them wind or no wind but its a huge pain in the ass!
