Were back everyone as for the next twenty weeks team scrimmage will be held at our outdoor venue Schulz Ranch. While its a bit breezier and sunny here unlike the MAC for us its free and in a sense were free to be the team were were meant to be without indulging in all the chaos that erupted the past few weeks at the MAC. The views are great, pretty women are out exercising, my dog Winston can attend practice and we can even play music while scrimmaging.

I know that the wind whipping can be a bit annoying I call it wraith of the sierras because the winds come off the foothills right here down onto the court but it just adds to the challenge of having to work past it. The only issue I have at the moment with the court is one of the rims is bent this is one of the last courts in Carson City with integrity and in great shape lets hope it stays this way but I am doubtful. The city does not do enough for sports here as it is let alone fix their parks and places of recreation unfortunately. But you never know how awesome something is if its been gone awhile and I do miss having that freedom to play some street ball Wednesday evenings. I have tried to get the city to boast lacrosse, street hockey and football.But as you can see basketball is about all we have and its under our terms since we have lost now two seasons thru the city of Carson so were going to make it happen here and our fans should enjoy a summer of solid games brought to you by our team!

Everyone had a great time and this will be our venue for awhile where we wont have to deal with anything other then playing the game the way it was meant to be played. It was a sizzling return temps of 101 degrees still feels cooler then the MAC, winds whipping and thundershowers off in the distance which never reached us although we wish they had. The winds blew over my camera so the last game or two I could not record their was far to many issues which will be resolved by the time we play this upcoming Wednesday. We expect to get some good full court games going on as the team comes on out to compete and we invite others to join us for scrimmage.

While it is hot outdoors its not stuffy like the MAC because at that facility its hot and their is no breeze so it felt good to just be outdoors again. We may lose the nice wood flooring at our other venue but no regrets playing here as we shed the chaos, crowds and get some of our freedoms back like being able to play music and have the court to ourselves without dealing with 18 year old kids bragging every time they sink a basket when basketball is never just about scoring but its about other elements like passing and defense. While the MAC is great for the colder months when it gets darker early Schulz Ranch is where its at trust me!

We still had about five of us and you will see a few rocky games of 21 I say rocky because the winds were whipping if you cant tell but still man its a blast and I think some of you are going to sense that from watching this series. We will be here for twenty more weeks then we will return to the MAC so get cozy ladies and gentlemen! We hoping that we can get others to come on out play with us get away from the crowds and enjoy this beautiful mountain air! GO PHANTOMS good to be back! Expect some great memories and bigger games coming your way. It was great seeing my friend Johnny come out and I hope to see others who use to join us last summer here to chill!
