Known as the San, this location recently was investigated by Destination Fear!

Between 1913 and 1964, Cresson Tuberculosis Sanatorium treated more than 40,000 patients suffering from tuberculosis.

During the 60's as new medications became available to treat tuberculosis, the sanatorium transitioned into a state hospital to care for the mentally-challenged (known as the Laurence F. Flick State Hospital, Allegheny State Hospital then known as simply the Cresson Center after 1964).

From 1983 to 2013 the location was a medium security prison, known as SCI Cresson.

Normally locations that were former TB hospitals, or mental asylums, or prisons have higher reports of paranormal activity...this location served as all 3 over the last century!

Over 26 buildings (12 said to have documented paranormal activity) sitting on 34 acres, covering more than half a million square feet, this location is massive!

This location has over 10k more CONFIRMED deaths (40k) than Pennhurst Asylum, with many more potentially never being recorded!
