Some of you are aware of my intentions to move to Europe - in this case, Bucharest, Romania. I have just arrived and have put together some scenes taken from the filmed 4 day journey.
This move wasn`t as straight forward as I had anticipated, and our arrival was delayed by a month - hence my disappearance. So when the moment presented itself, we left. Our possessions were sent earlier by van.
The entire journey was 1,630 miles, and was quite exhaustive.
Because we had our dog Poppy, there was no way that I was prepared to abandon her, and so a road trip necessitated the journey.
But what an experience as you will eventually see.
Before then, we have a number of unpublished shows from the UK which will be released soon.
My thanks to our friend, Garry Rudd of J.B Services based in Suffolk. who runs a vehicle collection and delivery business and who also kindly agreed to drive us over. You could never meet a more congenial person than him, and we are deeply indebted to him for driving us there with the pooch.
My principle reason for leaving is simply my health. I have kidney stone issues that the NHS refused to remove as I wasn`t in direct physical pain.
My overall health has decreased because of it, but hopefully it will be dealt with through cheaper private health services here.
I am genuinely deeply gutted I had to leave my beloved East Anglia, and particularly our dear friend Eddie Mallett, but our last meeting with him has been filmed to share with you later.
But I can say Romania is a beautiful country and the locals are friendly and helpful. And expect to see more shows from here.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the trailer and will be back soon. This week we are hunting a period country property.
