The Cains were a wealthy family as this is the son of J.S. Cain who supposedly had an affair with a Chinese servant and well when she was fired she was the talk of the town. Which would eventually lead to her committing suicide so although the fathers home is said to be haunted by the maid their is not much info I have about the sons home other then the fact that the rangers now use it to reside in. It is one of the finer homes within Bodie and eventually before the Cains sold the town to the state park system they technically owned many of the structures you seen in our videos. This was a very wealthy family involved with banking, mining and even timber at one time.
