March 19TH 2016, the Haunted Auckland team started a different approach to their research at the Howick Historical Village.
More specifically, in PuhiNui Homestead one of the many incredible historic homes featured at this wonderful living museum.

We conducted a series of solo overnight investigations.
No other team members, minimal equipment and no one outside of the team knowing we were there. We wanted to avoid any possible contamination or distractions. No random whispering, coughing, footsteps, sound or movement from anyone but the person there alone.
Just them and the house.

We were interested in seeing what similarities might occur. Any patterns in activity or personal emotion. It was also to see how team members coped in these conditions.

Soon after, Sam and Mark went back to the homestead to work through what had occurred that night. What had caused the sounds upstairs and what ‘’threw’’ the torch down the stars?
