Haunted Auckland Investigates: Norfolk Island. The New Gaol - Part1

The New Gaol appears to be a serene, historic area by the ocean during the day, but after midnight the energy seems to change considerably. Whilst it has no infamous ghost stories written down, many locals have had experiences there after dark. We decided to visit one evening to attempt to communicate with any convicts or guards who may still be present within the walls of the complex.

The strong winds and sea-scape meant that we were unable to record any audio so we were unable to catch the conversations we appeared to be having with a variety of prisoners, through ‘The Portal’ app. We did not solely rely on the app however, and our personal senses (which I call the ‘heebs’) were certainly off the charts at some locations within the jail. We experienced physical feelings of intense cold and soreness as well as mental feelings of intimidation and images of individuals appearing in my mind’s eye.
