Haunted History - Sandford House in Heritage Square

In Fayetteville, North Carolina, there is a house that sits right on the Civil War Trail. Built in 1797, the Sandford House in Heritage Square served as barracks and a field hospital for General Sherman's troops during the Civil War. Also sitting on the Heritage Square property is the Oval Ballroom, where Anne K. Simpson murdered her husband in 1850. Finally, the Baker-Haigh-Nimocks House is home to a plethora of spirits, including a lonely male spirit wandering the house yearning for someone to talk to.
