The higher you descend along Mt.Tallac the denser the wilderness becomes. This is where you lose sight of the lakes your leaving behind and heading into a mixed forest. A forest filled with massive rocks and heavy vegetation. At times you feel like this area is a place where something could jump out at you its pretty cool! Did you know the Desolation Wilderness is one of the biggest Sasquatch hot spots in the country? We had an experience once on the other side of Tallac.
