In this video, I take you to Ismaninger Speichersee which is a large water reservoir in Bavaria.

The reservoir is a 7 km long and a maximum of 1 km wide reservoir on the southern edge of the Erdinger Moos. The former fen area has now been converted into meadows and fields. The water reservoir is fenced in, in places. This gives the animals their peace and quiet and a wide variety of species can be observed. Among the birds you can see here are Bluethroat, Common Kingfisher, Black-necked Grebe, Common Goldeneye, Red-crested Pochard, Common Teal, Black-crowned Night-Heron and Red-throated Diver.

The districts of Munich, Ebersberg and Erding meet at the Ismaninger reservoir. For me it is so close that I can quickly go there on my bike.

There are no tourist facilities here. Just a couple of information boards and a couple of benches.
