While you might not think it's possible, Child's play, the 1988 supernatural slasher which features an evil living doll named Chucky, is actually based on the true story of Robert the doll.

As the story goes, when he was a child, the young Robert was looked after by a Bahamian servant. During her time looking after the boy the servant constricted a doll for the child to play with.

In the End the Family did not treat the servant very well, so, Before she left their house for gChilds pood, she placed a curse on the doll. Following this, The Otto family complained of strange experiences. For instance, they mentioned that they could hear the doll laughing from empty rooms in their house.

Apparently, even neighbors noticed something was wrong, With many of them claiming that they had seen the doll peeking out of different windows from inside the house at times when the family were not at home.

Childs play 2019 poster is updated but the front stays the same.
