Upper Rochester is full of machinery, mines, tailings and even head frames. This one in particular resides at the top of the hill. The shaft goes straight down into the mine with little or no access. We found also two other structures nearby with some drums, machinery and even a work bench left behind. It truly was a nice finish at the end of the night to drink a brew and enjoy the stars as I sat on top of the hill that overlooks all of this historic ghost town.
