This mine and mill were part of the Ward Mining Historical district in Virginia City. Nearby are sites like the Historic Ward School and Tunnel #4. Tunnel 4 traverses below old fort homestead and is the outlet for the Virginia & Truckee railroad. The mill itself sits near the train tracks and would be a stop for our team in exploring the area during the day time.
