In 1665 a tailor in the village of Eyam Derbyshire received a package of material from London, the material inside was contaminated with rat fleas and caused an outbreak of the plague in Eyam. The brave villagers of Eyam locked down the village not allowing anyone in and out to contain the plague. By the end of 1666, 276 villagers had lost their lives to the plague.

Many people have reported paranormal activity in the village, we visited the site of Mompessons Well, the place where food and medicines were exchanged for money to support the people of Eyam & the Riley Graves the burial site of the Hancocke family including the grave of Elizabeth Hancocke the mother of the family.
