If you ever go down to Boggy Creek, you better not go at night. Legend talks of a large, ape-like creature, covered in hair, that stalks the woods, known as the Fouke Monster. Reports in the area date back as far as 1856, but it wasn’t until 1971 that the monster unleashed an attack on a local family. What followed were multiple sightings setting loose a whirlwind of fear and curiosity. Does the Fouke Monster still reign in the dense woods of southwestern Arkansas?
