Glebe House was originally built during the early 19th century and was the residency of The Most Reverend Bishop of Meath (Anglican), Robert Bonsall Pike (1905-1973). Robert served as bishop from 1959 until his death after which his widow, Helen, continued to live there until she passed away in 2005 aged 88. The house and glebe lands of some 30 acres were subsequently sold and redeveloped for housing.

Not long after Glebe House was sold, it was mysteriously burned down and remains a ruined shell. The house and its overgrown gardens of some 3.3 acres is for sale for €125,000 with planning permission for nineteen 2 and 3 bedroom apartments (as at August 2014).
