Tonopah Nevada - Part 2 "Old Army Airfield Base"

The old Tonopah Army Airfield was used as an air training center, cold war station and even an area where some of America's most sophisticated aircraft were tested at. Chuck Yeager ran a series of test on the runways being the first pilot to break mach speed and ill even take you to a massive wood hanger where he supposedly flew some of his aircraft out of. The segment will start off with me journeying from Monitor Valley south as I travel through an expanse surrounded by snow capped mountains all around me descending onto the airbase. Ill drive through the airbase where some dogs tried to attack my vehicle and eventually I will arrive at the hangar. At one time this was a large base in 1941 it had barracks, multiple hangars, school, training centers, water tanks, post exchange, crash supply stations, range facilities, warehouses, operations buildings, supply buildings and so much more. Today most of the airfield is abandoned and used as a small local airport. But back in the day this was a large military base with very little remaining but ruins and history.
