I took a trip to check out the Burlow Plantation. It is reported to be the most haunted plantation in the whole state of Florida. Mr. Burlow was a very young plantation owner with over 5,000 acres of land. He had a huge sugar mill on the grounds. He was a very good man. Even tho he was a slave owner he treated them better then anyone else. Let them have full families as well as being able to be real people. They were able to go fishing, hunting, grow their own gardens and have time to be with their loved one. He did not want to treat them as slaves but as workers instead. He even tried to save the Seminoles tribes against Major Putnam and the Mosquito Raiders. Which he was taken prisoner for. I hope you enjoy my adventure just as much as I did.
