James and Martie Garcia explore, investigate an abandoned prison by themselves in search of the supernatural. In this Part 1 episode they capture EVPs, a shadow figure lurking behind Martie, and almost come in contact with a rattle snake. This is part 1 of my time, with my partner and wife Martie exploring and investigating Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in the town of Petros in Morgan County, Tennessee.

It was considered the most dangerous prison in the state of Tennessee and operated from 1896 to 2009.

Owner Jamie Brock will first take us on a tour within the prison where she will talk about the violent history, as well as the haunted activity taking place there today.

The prison has been abandoned since 2009. But the walls still replay its past and the current residents are spirits of the inmates, staff, and Native Americans that perished on this land. It is also a fertile ground for entities that thrive on the location’s negative energy.

You will see me and Martie explore several of the buildings including the old Maximum-Security Building, once called Cell Block D that they have been keeping off limits to the public due to its current state of deterioration.

We capture several EVPs in there as well as a shadow figure right behind Martie.

We will also explore the newer Maximum-Security Building that was built in the 1980’s but it was being stripped down in preparation for demoing. So, I am glad we got to check that out before it gets torn down.

We capture more EVPs in some of the other buildings we enter and at one point we come in close quarters to where a rattle snake is near by.
