Perhaps one of the biggest (literally and figuratively) legends of all time is the lost continent of Atlantis. There are various stories that have been written and created about Atlantis. The debate still rages, even more so now more than ever as to if it actually existed or was simply a metaphor used by Plato to describe a Utopia. Atlantis has become part of our obsession with aliens visiting the earth. It’s become a part of a heavy spiritual new age belief that crosses into reincarnation. It’s also part of the Nazi parties delving into the occult. The truth of the matter is Atlantis and all the things it represents has grown beyond anything we could have imagined. It’s more than a lost city and in this episode of Mythteries we’re going to explore the truth and fiction of Atlantis.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Mythteries: Showcase various myths and mysteries from around the world and shines the light on incidents that have rocked history and can still not be explained. Each episode will be about a creature/myth/or in some cases people that are connected to it. To this day the creepiest thing about vampires is the fact that basically every culture in the world has a vampire myth but they never communicated to each other...so how did they know about them too? This is the place where Myth and Mystery combine.
