When you hike or mountain bike through the hills you will come on over them where you will see the shores of Folsom Lake. Keep in mind that the lake as of Feb. 2014 was 90' to 100' lower this was due to drought and lack of snowfall in the high sierras exposing the gold rush town remnants far below the hills.
