March is finally here and as a team I am really excited because that means are season is coming soon. We should be rolling soon and so is our team. Most of the team was able to make it to Wednesdays practice things are coming together nice. I see some great things happening everyone is working hard, roster is nearly full at max, playing competitive, passing is looking sharper and games are close. As a coach what is their not to be glad about starting off our March as a team?

The first part of the reel is a full court game at the 11:47 timestamp the next one is a three on three match followed by six four on four half court matches with the team. I had to move us over to the next court once boys n girls club was over because during the full court game we were not playing together then after most of us sitting a couple times during games I had us move over.

The MAC gets uber busy it use to not be as busy but post pandemic people have cabin fever so space is very limited and in order for our team to thrive as a team we have to get practice in with one another. In the end that practice will be very beneficial to all team members and we should be quite competitive in league I am very confident of that. I got a great group of people they want to practice, play and most of all be friends. You have to check all three things off in order to be successful!

I love playing ball with everyone I put on 16k steps in practice so they gave me a good run. I like their energy and as a team will do great things that we can be proud of. As far as me I had a rough practice yeah I made a few good threes and passes but I was suffering. I have sciatic nerve issues this week on both sides, my right calve is pulled again, right knee injection worn off and I just have been sick with tons of pain. I live with pain but I try not to let it win that is why I am out on that court. But I am sure if I had less of it I would be smoking but for now I just will give it my all.

I had some bad luck at the 1:20:19 timestamp Marlon threw up a laser three pointer and I just did not react quick enough so it came down through the net hard hit me on the left side of face which in turn cracked my glasses and caught my nose. It stunned me pretty hard thought my nose was bleeding but it happens. Lucky for me I had my gold sunglasses with me so I just put them on. Soon as I went home I ordered a new pair I wear scripts so my suns I have are custom made. So I try to have other sunglasses on hand just in case they get broke while playing sports or out adventuring.

Its not as bad as someone whipping a ball not paying attention last September at my face and causing me to nearly go blind in one eye. Almost had a torn retina because of that! Not as bad as tearing three ligaments in my foot and ankle five years ago which led to me spending two years walking with a cane. Injuries happen in sports this was not on purpose and its all good. Now some people from other teams punching, kneeing, elbowing and tripping you well that is on purpose. I guess I expected the ball to hit rim did not see the shot hardly so once it hit underneath it just clipped me. Wont be the 1st nor will it be the last! Sometimes balls take weird turns or in some cases you pivot wrong remember Big James broke his foot last year ago during practice so yeah stuff happens!

With that being said will keep fighting the good fight this team has come along nicely. All of us have a good time hooping then again can you think of anything else to do here in Carson City? We are kind of in the middle of the mountains and sports up in this area is limited. So why not compete and do something fun like hoop! I always enjoy seeing the team grow one of my favorite parts of being a coach is to see how well everyone improves in fact they improve so much they beat me lol. :D
