The Roman Fort at Piercebridge is the most southerly of the 4 forts guarding Dere Street as it passed through County Durham towards the wall and beyond. These are in order from south to North Piercebridge(Morbium) Binchester (Vinovium), Lanchester (Longovicium and Ebchester (Vindomora)

Part of the fort has been excavated and is open to visitors, free all year round.... the majority of the fort is under the village of Piercebridge... Nearby is what is called the Piercebridge Roman Bridge - (a video to come)

This was shot in 2014 when I had recently come out of plaster from breaking my leg again and was walking with the aid of a stick - so its a bit...... uneven to say the least

Headphones on for the 2 EVP sessions... did I talk to any Romans... probably not.... but it was worth a try
