The Beast Within Phantoms Full Court Scrimmage - 9/19/21

This probably was one of our hardest practices we had in a long time with two half court games followed by six full court games. We work quite during practice but the games are getting more competitive or closer because now we have the entire team on the same wave length. Everyone plays in sync but we also know how one another plays so really both sides are battling it out.

I feel pretty lucky I came out like a beast in the first game so if you watch any of the match-ups watch the first one and ill show you that I still have it. I was having problems with my right eye at the time could barely see out of it due to a medical condition but I guess if you want to win bad enough you just do it. I had won at least six of the eight games even had a couple game winners on the full court. The only reason why I lost two of the games is I never subbed stayed out their the entire time again like a beast so I did start to feel the burn therefore I slowed down a little on defense towards the end but its all good I got in 20 thousand steps on my fitbit lol.

This was a great practice though once again defense, amazing shots and passes. I got all eight games which is also unusual because generally the batteries or something runs out. This was our first Sunday afternoon practice in a long time I always use to host them after the Bills NFL games so it felt like old times. Sure we have to share the court with some younger kids but they get to play too and trust me some of our younger generation is full of talent so you do not want to miss this.

Towards the end of this video I did get injured the player on the opposite end turned around real fast jumping in the air and whipped the basketball directly into my face. I was just hustling to the net to take on the pass and nail it. But he was not even look he just turned around and threw the ball full force. Lucky I did not break my nose but it did hurt my neck which btw is already in bad shape with bone spurs, bulging disc, arthritis and chronic pain so this did not help.

But its also going to be used to teach other ballers that you do not pass the ball unless you know for sure where that ball is going. He did not look and if he did he would have realized that all he had to do was a gentle little bounce pass or lob it into the air high and id got it put it in. If I was not there it would have been a turn over or out of bounce so our hoopers who view this clip need to learn from witnessing this experience. No I did not leave the game I stayed in but yes it did hurt!
