To her surprise, she sees a ghostly woman dressed in Victorian-style clothing, with dark hollow eyes and pale skin. The ghostly woman disappears as suddenly as she appears, leaving Sarah scared and unsure of what just happened.

Sarah tries to distract herself by looking out the window, but the passing scenery feels ominous and foreboding. Eventually, Sarah falls asleep, but when she wakes up, she finds that the train has stopped in a desolate area with no sign of civilization around. Sarah feels relieved when the conductor explains that the train has encountered a problem and they are waiting for a repair crew to arrive. However, as time passes, Sarah becomes increasingly uneasy as the eerie silence surrounding the train is now accompanied by a dense fog that has settled over the area. Sarah feels that they are being watched by unseen forces.

As the sun sets, Sarah sees the ghostly woman approaching the train, accompanied by a group of other ghosts dressed in similar clothing. The train suddenly begins to vibrate, and the ghosts are pushed back by an unseen force as the train lifts off the tracks. The train rises higher and higher, and Sarah sees the ghosts disappearing into the mist. She realizes that the train is being lifted by some supernatural force and hears ghostly voices whispering around her.

The train continues to hover, and Sarah sees a man dressed in a conductor's uniform approaching in the distance. His face is gaunt, and his eyes glow with an otherworldly light. The man motions for Sarah to follow him, and she hesitates, unsure if she should trust him. However, she feels a sudden urge to follow him, as if he is the key to understanding the strange events that have occurred.

Sarah follows the ghostly conductor through the mist, and they arrive at an old, abandoned train station. The station is filled with ghosts, all dressed in Victorian-style clothing. The ghostly conductor leads Sarah to a room filled with old photographs and documents. He points to a photograph of the same train Sarah had been traveling on and explains that the train had crashed many years ago, killing all the passengers on board. Their spirits had been trapped in the area ever since, unable to move on to the afterlife.

The ghostly conductor reveals something shocking to Sarah: she is not supposed to be on the train that day, and she is not even supposed to be alive. Sarah is stunned and has no idea what the ghostly conductor means. However, she suddenly remembers a car accident she was in when she was younger, and the ghostly conductor explains that Sarah should have died in that accident. He tells her that she is in a state between life and death and that her presence on the train is a mistake.

The ghostly conductor then reveals that he can send Sarah back to the living world, but she must make a choice. She can either return to the living world and live the rest of her life, or she can join the other ghosts and remain in the afterlife forever. Sarah decides to return to the living world, and the ghostly conductor tells her that she will not remember anything that happened on the train. Sarah wakes up on the train, which has arrived at its destination, and she goes to visit her grandmother, feeling as though she has just experienced a dream.
