The second day of our journey which include expeditions to Mud, Summit and Elephant Rock Lakes. Ill start off by taking you down a rugged dirt road will backpack to each of the lakes. In between we stop up on this glacial granite slab because my GPS and the lack of a good trail got us turned around. While you will get to see Utica Reservoir what is even more beautiful is these natural lakes not to far away but far enough where you can hear a pin drop. Which is why I call it triple lake madness because often due to Utica's large size so very few know about these other bodies of water which get less attention. Up near Summit Lake their is a missing persons poster kind of creepy because the person just vanished at a camp ground down the road from here. But people forget this is the high sierras beyond the trail are worlds within worlds and while adventure awaits so does danger too. This is the wilderness and these are alpine lakes each one differs in some way so pay mind to that when you watch this. Ill also take you on a night journey this time I got the new IR Cam down much better then my first night trying this thing. That night I also heard vocalizations so going out into the wilderness in the dark of night seemed like a great idea!
