Fax of Death by Paranormal Time

The story is about a salesman who sells fax machines, a dying industry but pays well. He travels with Darren, his senior, who does the commercials while he does the tech demos. They are usually London bound and he picks Darren up from his house. Presentation and punctuality are the two most important aspects of salesmanship for him. One day, they get caught in traffic and are late for their meeting. They finally arrive and park beside an old Lime-Green Beetle, and the salesman realizes he forgot to wear his tie, a crucial part of his presentation. However, they proceed to the reception area where they meet an older woman who invites them to take a seat and wait for her husband. Darren is visibly sick and sweating profusely due to new medication, and the salesman is worried about his well-being. Ted, an old man, enters the room, and they begin the sales meeting.

The salesman introduces himself, and Ted tells him that he is thinking of changing suppliers, and the last company he met was very convincing. The salesman is taken aback and suddenly feels off balance. Ted asks him personal questions, and the salesman tells him about his job and his friendship with Darren, who saved his life by giving him CPR after he had a heart attack. Elsa, Ted's wife, asks the salesman if he believes in God, and the salesman says he believes in God but does not practice any religion. Elsa tells him that they are very spiritual people. Then Elsa asks the salesman if he ever killed a man, and the salesman says no. Elsa tells him that he may have killed someone indirectly, like letting a car out of a junction, only for it to cause an accident. The salesman is taken aback and is unsure of how to respond. The meeting ends, and the salesman and Darren leave.

As they drive away, the salesman is in shock and is not sure what just happened. He wonders if he should report the incident to the police or his boss. He decides not to do so, as it might ruin his career, and he is scared of Elsa and Ted. He thinks about his life and his job, and wonders if it is worth it. The story ends with the salesman feeling lost and alone, unsure of what to do next.
